The Rivers State Commissioner for Works, Prof. Nwofor, has visited the failed section of the Mgbuoba–NTA Road in Port Harcourt, following a directive by Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara for the comprehensive maintenance of deteriorated road segments across the city.
The inspection, which took place shortly after the governor’s order, is part of ongoing efforts by the state government to address critical infrastructure challenges and improve road conditions for residents.
Governor Fubara had earlier mandated immediate intervention on failed sections of major roads within the metropolis, emphasising the need for swift and lasting repairs to ease transportation and enhance economic activities.
During the visit, Prof. Nwofor assessed the extent of damage on the affected stretch of the Mgbuoba–NTA Road, with a view to initiating necessary remedial works in line with the governor’s directive.
