Human rights activist, Annkio Briggs, has said that not all Rivers people share the gratitude expressed by Governor Siminalayi Fubara towards President Bola Tinubu.
Briggs made the remark during an interview on Sunday Politics, a Channels Television programme, while reacting to the suspension of the six-month state of emergency earlier imposed on Rivers State.
When asked if she was equally thankful to the president, Briggs said:
“Definitely not. I think the president himself will be aware that not everybody in Rivers State will be eternally grateful to him.”
She further expressed disappointment with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), accusing it of failing its supporters in the state despite their loyalty since 1999. According to her, the party’s inability to act decisively from the onset contributed to its current challenges in Rivers politics.
