Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has dissolved all his political support groups, including the influential Simplified Movement and the Rivers Elders Forum.
The decision comes in the wake of a peace agreement reached between Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, aimed at resolving the protracted political rift that has divided the state’s chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Confirming the development, PDP chieftain Ogbonna Nwuke said the move is intended to promote unity and foster lasting peace within the party, noting that the dissolution of the camps is a necessary step now that the political differences between the two leaders have been settled.
