Suspended Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara has called on residents and political stakeholders to move past recent political crises and work together for the state’s progress.
In a statewide address marking two years since his inauguration, Fubara appealed for unity, forgiveness, and reconciliation. He urged those affected by political conflicts to “turn the page” and focus on rebuilding the state.
“This is a crucial point in our journey where difficult decisions must be made,” he said. “Every step we take will be guided by your best interests and the enduring good of Rivers State.”
Fubara reaffirmed his administration’s focus on peace, security, and community welfare. Despite political tension that has slowed some projects, he expressed optimism about the state’s future and vowed to consolidate gains made in the past two years.
“We must work hand in hand to build a Rivers State that stands as a model for the rest of Nigeria,” he said, adding that the time to “rebuild and rise is now.”
Fubara, whose tenure has been marred by a power tussle within the state’s political elite, assured residents that he would continue to serve with integrity and determination.
