Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has assigned portfolios to the five commissioners recently sworn into the Rivers State Executive Council.
The appointments, announced shortly after their inauguration, outline the specific ministries the new commissioners will oversee.
According to the announcement, Mr. Tonye Bellgam has been appointed Commissioner for Special Duties, while Prof. Temple Nwofor will head the Ministry of Works.
Similarly, Dr. Peters Nwagor has been assigned as Commissioner for Education, and Mr. Lekue Kenneth will serve as Commissioner for Finance and Budget.
Also, Sir Amairigha Edward Hart has been designated as Commissioner for Urban Development and Physical Planning.
The newly assigned commissioners are expected to immediately assume duties in their respective ministries as the state government continues its administrative and developmental agenda.
