Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara has approved a free medical programme for pregnant women and nursing mothers in the state.
Acting Executive Secretary of the Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP), Vetty Agala made this known at the ongoing Rivers Women Converge by Rivers Unite For Sim with the Theme: Pray, Praise & Possess the Land in Port Harcourt on Thursday.
On her part, Deputy Governor of the state, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu said the Gov Fubara is passionate about the welfare of Rivers Women.
She called for support for the current administration to continue delivering the dividends of democracy to Rivers people.
