Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has approved the recruitment of 12 truck drivers for the Rivers State Fire Service as part of measures to strengthen the agency’s emergency response capacity.
The employment is aimed at boosting firefighting operations and improving service delivery across the state. Government officials say the move will support faster deployment of fire trucks during emergencies and enhance overall operational readiness.
The recruitment is also expected to improve response time to fire incidents and reinforce efforts to safeguard lives and property in Rivers State.
