MEDITATION SCRIPTURE: “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive” ( Matt.21:22).
READ: ISA.11:1-3
And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
In the book of James, we are given a blank cheque to ask for wisdom if we lack it. “if any lack wisdom let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him (James.1:5)
In the New living Translation this verse reads, “if you need wisdom, if you want to know what God want you to do ask him. And He will gladly tell you. He will not recent you’re asking.” From this translation we discover that wisdom means knowing what God want you to do and doing it.
Wisdom is a universal need. It is the divine software programmed by God to sustain the operating system of the mind to function correctly, producing the right mindset that leads to prosperity and victory. Kings’ nobles, peasants and destitute all need wisdom to operate and survive. I read the story of a blind Beggar that sit on the staircase of a public square with a write- up.
“Help me I am blind” he got only few coins each day. one day as he sat there hoping to get some coins, he heard a footstep coming close to him, he was expecting the noise of a dropping coin in his bowl but after sometime he discovered that his sign board was lifted and later returned to him. The stranger worked away but things took a different turn. More coins were dropping into his bowl.
The stranger replied, I passed the message of your condition in a wiser way. This the stranger wrote. “Oh, the day is so bright but I can’t see it”. Jesus is the wisdom of God. Hand over your affairs to Him, your life will become better.
TURNING POINT: ” Jesus is the wisdom of God. Hand over your affairs to Him, your life will become better.”
PRAYER POINT: Lord, fill me with Your wisdom.
