MEDITATION SCRIPTURE: “Thy right hand, O LORD is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.” (Ex.15:6)
READ: EXO.15:1-5
Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. 2 The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him. 3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. 4 Pharaoh’s chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea. 5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.
In their praise session, Israel remembered and recounted the great deliverance the LORD had wrought among them. The dividing of the Red Sea and the miraculous drowning of Pharaoh and his chariot was an uncommon miracle. ”A testimony that will remain as a land mark from generation to generation”. Today I beg you to go down the memory lane; you will discover that there is so much that the Lord has done for you for which you can spend the rest of your days praising Him. Until you learn to see the mighty hand of God working behind the scene for your good at all times you may not be able to cultivate the attitude of continues praise. Think of the safe delivery of your last baby even though he was overweight, that is a great miracle. Some women have smaller babies, but develop d complications at the point of delivery leading to the death of the baby, mother or even both. Do you know that there are innocent students like him who were killed by strange bullets as a result of cult clashes?
Beloved sister, your husband may not have all the money in the world but he loves you and care for you and your children; that is worthy of praise. Glorious praise comes from a grateful heart. Remember that gratitude does not necessarily mean that all your prayers have been answered, rather it means that you are happy for how God has led you. Setting a day of prayer in a week or a month in your family or the church for praise and worship to the LORD is a great treasure.
