MEDITATION SCRIPTURE: “And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, which I did bear.” (1King 3:21)
READ: 1 KINGS.3:21
21 And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, which I did bear.
Whenever God gives a man an assignment, He equips him for the same. Solomon was only a youth when he was crowned in Israel. God has assured him of wisdom as answer to his prayer. Today we see the manifestation of God’s wisdom in His chosen vessel. The wicked harlot who over laid and killed her son, had no doubt that her trick would work. Since her own son was dead, she was determined to see her neighbor also lose her own son. There are human beings like this everywhere. Even when they know that you are not the cause of their misfortune, they conclude that you don’t have a right to be happy when they are sad.
This harlot was excited when the king asked for a knife to divide the living baby into two. But thank God for the mother of the child whose milk of human kindness flowed to save her son. Never learn wickedness because someone is wicked to you. This woman knew that the child was hers. But she was willing to let her enemy have him just to save his life. In divine economy, men rise by stooping low, increase comes by releasing something important and happiness comes to you by making others happy. By their attitude and words, King Solomon was able to discern who the real mother of the child was. Don’t lose what rightly belongs to you by a wrong attitude or a hasty spirit.
TURNING POINT: In divine economy, men rise by stooping low, increase comes by releasing something important and happiness comes to you by making others happy.
PRAYER POINT: Lord, give me the discernment to know right from wrong no matter how complicated the matter is.
