MEDITATION SCRIPTURE: “Let no one deceive you with empty words, for it is because of these things that the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.” Eph.5:6
READ: EPHESIANS 5:6-10
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
A follower of God does not follow the world and worldly standards. Christianity does not preach tolerance to sin and the world, but the transformation from sin to saint. In fact, the journey to real Christianity begins with the experience of conversion. In this process, the spirit of man, once dead to sin and unrighteousness is made alive by the power of the eternal Word of God and the Spirit of Grace. After this initial experience, the child of God continues to grow in grace and in knowledge of Christ by yielding himself to God and by being transformed by renewing of the mind.
In our meditation scripture for today, Apostle Paul warned the Ephesians Christians against false teachers who teach tolerance to sin and unrighteous. If God will judge the secular sinners for these vices, how will he excuse those professing to belong to Him if they commit the same?
“Be not deceived, because of these things the wrath of God comet on the child of disobedience.”
Jesus‘ teaching on this subject is clear, “you are in the world but not of the world”, this simply means that Jesus’ followers are not worldly but heaven conscious and heavenly minded people.

PRAYER POINT: Dear Lord, let the consciousness of Your presence never depart from me.
