The Progressives Congress Forum for Good Governance and Continuity has thrown its weight behind Bola Tinubu and Siminalayi Fubara for re-election, citing what it described as measurable achievements in office.
The group made its position known during a press conference in Abuja on Monday, stating that its endorsement followed a thorough, evidence-based evaluation of both leaders’ performance.
National Coordinator of the forum, Henry Awolabi, said the move goes beyond politics, emphasizing that it reflects a careful assessment of governance outcomes.
He noted that the endorsement represents “a point of reflection grounded in facts and conviction,” where leadership is assessed based on tangible results rather than mere promises.
Awolabi further explained that the forum’s decision was rooted in what it described as the impactful leadership, courage, and reform-oriented policies of both leaders, which it said have reshaped the direction of Nigeria and Rivers State.
Commenting on Tinubu’s administration, he said the President assumed office in 2023 amid a struggling economy but has since introduced bold reforms aimed at stabilising the nation’s economic outlook.
