Rivers APC chieftain, Arch. Tonye Cole says it is heartbreaking to see communities in the state face devastating impact of floods.
Cole in a statement said it is clear that the state’s current water management and drainage systems are not sufficient.
He called on the state government to urgently prioritize and address these infrastructure needs.
His post reads,
Heartbreaking to see our beloved communities of Oyigbo LGA and Bua Kanni Community in Khana LGA face the devastating impact of floods. My thoughts are with all those who have lost their homes and livelihoods. We stand together in these challenging times.
It’s clear that our current water management and drainage systems are not sufficient. I am calling on the state government to urgently prioritize and address these infrastructure needs. We must ensure the safety and well-being of our citizens. It’s our shared responsibility.
In the meantime, let’s extend our hands and hearts to our neighbors in need. We are stronger together.
