The Senator representing Rivers West Senatorial District, Senator Betty Apiafi, has distributed relief materials to flood victims at IDP camps in Abua/Odual Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Apiafi presented the items on Saturday through a team led by Chief. Goodlife Ozu and included Dr. Okagua Kenneth Eghuan , Mr Itoemugh Obu (PDP LGA Secretary), Bar Esel Omeghara (Former Council Secretary), amongst others.
Cartons of indomie, mattresses and pillows, mosquito nets, drugs and bags of rice were amongst items presented.
The team also reportedly visited a newly delivered baby at the IDP camp and presented a cash gift to the mother and baby on behalf of the Senator.
The flood victims commended the Lawmaker for the kind gesture and urged other leaders to emulate her.
