The Rivers State Government’s Flood Prevention and Management Committee has distributed various food items and palliatives to people affected by the flood in Ndoni and Okwuzie communities in ONELGA.

Speaking, during an interactive session shortly before handing over the items to the Ndoni people, Rivers State Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Committee Prof Professor Ngozi Nma Odu said Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara had sent the Flood Committee to personally deliver the food items and palliatives to them because he cares and relates with the people, noting that everything he does is done because it touches the lives of the people.
The Deputy Governor said setting up the Committee and directing them to visit the flood-impacted communities is a clear demonstration that the State Government is responsive to the plight of the people.
