Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Rivers State, Com. Beatrice Itubo, has alleged that only 43 million naira has been released by the state government out of the 1 billion naira approved to aid flood victims in the state.
Itubo disclosed this while speaking on the 27th anniversary memorial of Late Ken Saro-Wiwa yesterday.
She said it is worrisome that while a lot of Rivers people were suffering, the state governor was busing donating resources of the state to other states.
She criticized the recent donations by Gov. Wike to wives of government officials in Lagos, and called on Rivers people to vote Labour party to secure their future.
She promised to tackle the issues of Niger Delta degradation when elected noting that the region cannot continue to be neglected.
