Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has announced a N100M donation to the Borno State Government for the rebuilding of areas affected by flood in the state.
Atiku, made this known when he visited the Borno state governor on Monday.
The former VP commiserated with the state government and prayed for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives.
He said, “…we want to let you know that you are not alone in this sad event which led to the loss of thousands of lives and to offer our deepest condolences to the repose of those who had died. Of course, it is a time of rebuilding because that is what follows majorly after such disasters and you are not alone. We want to let you know that we are all partners as far as rebuilding in Borno state is concerned.
“Therefore, I want to announce my own contribution to the rebuilding of Borno state to the tune of N100,000,000 and we will appreciate details of where that money can be paid into. And of course finally, we pray for the repose of the souls of those who have died.
May Almighty Allah grant them eternal rest and peace.
