Eleven persons have been declared missing in Ihuaba community in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State following severe flooding in the area.
Paramount ruler of Ihuaba community, Eze Enene Otuwarikpo said this in a chat with NigInfo on Friday.
He said the area needs urgent attention by the government as it is now exposed to the sea with water gushing into the community.
He also said many communities have been divided, and that a lot of persons have been displaced.
He explained that this year’s flooding is far worse than that of 2012 which ravaged the community.
Ahoada East Local Government Area is one of the few councils affected by flood in the state.
