The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Dockyard in Iriebe, Rivers State was today, gutted by fire.
Sources say the fire started after an explosion rocked the dump, leading to the destruction of over 36 vehicles.
An eyewitness explained that the fire was massive and caused soot in the area.
He also said the timely intervention of Firefighters, helped reduce the damage the inferno would have caused.
According to him, it is not clear if any life was lost in the incident.
The NSCDC and the Police were yet to react to the incident, as at the time of filing this report.
