Parts of Hostel F at the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education were gutted by fire yesterday.
Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Okechukwu Onuchukwu confirmed the incident in a statement.
He said the fire started from a stove used by one of the students for cooking in her room, and escalated before firefighters came to their rescue.
He noted that no life was however lost from the outbreak.
We gathered that several properties were also destroyed by the inferno.
