The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has confirmed that the political crisis in Rivers State has been resolved, following a truce among key stakeholders.
Speaking to journalists after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu, Wike disclosed that all parties involved in the prolonged rift have agreed to work together harmoniously.
“We have all agreed to work together with the governor, and the governor also agreed to work together with all of us. We are members of the same political family,” Wike said.
He acknowledged that while disagreements are natural, they have now been resolved, and unity restored among political actors in the state.
“That has been finally concluded today, and we have come to report to Mr. President. So for me, everything is over,” he added.
The reconciliation marks a significant step toward political stability in Rivers State, which has recently witnessed intense power tussles involving the governor, the State Assembly, and Wike’s political camp.
