Nigeria’s House of Representatives, has assured that counterpart funding for the Ogoni clean-up project will be released by the Federal Government.
Chairman, committee on Host Communities, Dumnamene Dekor said this during a visit to various Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project, HYPREP, sites in Ogoniland, on Thursday.
According to him, the committee will collaborate with HYPREP Board of Trustees and NNPCL to ensure the timely release of funds for the clean-up.
