The Federal Gvernment of Nigeria, has said that a total of 47.8 million Nigerians, have linked their SIM cards with their National Identification Numbers.
Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantani disclosed this in a statement in Abuja, Today.
He warned Nigerians against selling their linked SIM cards, stating that crimes committed with any SIM, would be traced by the authorities.
Dr Pantami advised Nigerians to always protect their SIMs and NINs, so as not to be used by someone else to perpetrate crime.
In addition, he commended Nigerians for coming out in their numbers for the exercise.
