The Federal Government says the 3,000 capacity custodial centres located in Rivers, Kano and the federal Capital Territory, Abuja will be completed by December 2022.
Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
According to him, the facilities in Rivers and Abuja were 55 percent complete, while that of Kano was almost ready.
“I believe before December, it will be inaugurated and commissioned by the President. The one at River State is almost at the same stage like this. With support from the President, these two (Rivers and Abuja) will be completed by the end of the year,” he said.
“My desire is to have the first three of the six projects to be completed before this administration ends,” he added.
