The Federal Government has scheduled a national stakeholders’ forum for July 23 and 24, 2025, to address rising concerns over petrol pricing and supply challenges in the downstream sector.
The forum, organised by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), comes amid mounting pressure from independent marketers demanding clarity and regulation in the pricing of petroleum products.
According to Francis Ogaree, Executive Director of Hydrocarbon Processing Plants, Installation and Transportation Infrastructure at the NMDPRA, the summit will bring together industry operators, marketers, refiners, and key government officials to deliberate on pricing benchmarks, feedstock availability, and measures to ensure stability in the deregulated petroleum market.
Ogaree disclosed the forum dates during the recently concluded 24th Nigeria Oil and Gas Energy Week in Abuja.
