Nigeria’s House of Representatives says it would investigate the alleged exclusion of Rivers State from the states to benefit from the Federal Government world bank loan.
The House, resolved to, during Wednesday’s plenary, after Solomon Bob from Rivers State moved a motion calling for an investigation into the matter.
He said the alleged exclusion is capable of being interpreted as a partisan vindictiveness against the people of the state because of differences of opinion on national issues.
Despite opposition from other lawmakers, the House resolved to investigate the matter.
Gov. Wike had raised an alarm over the exclusion of the state, adding that the Buhari-led administration has deep hatred for Rivers State.
