The Federal Government has extended the deadline for NIN-SIM linkage till June 30, 2021.

Spokesperson of the Nigerian Communication Commission, Ikechukwu Adinde disclosed this in a statement, after a meeting the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami and stakeholders in the communication sector.

He said the deadline was extended to enable those who are yet to register, do so.

He also said the Federal government is committed to taking decisions aimed at easing the pains of citizens, with regard to NIN and SIM registration.

Pantami urged Nigerians yet to register, to do the needful as it is compulsory for every SIM user to get their NIN linked to their SIMs.
