The Federal Government has declared Thursday 30 and Friday 31 July, 2020 as public holidays to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
This was made known in a statement by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Georgina Ehuriah on Tuesday, July 28. 2020.
According to the statement, the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola on behalf of the Federal Government, called on Muslims to continue to imbibe the spirit of love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
He congratulated Muslim faithfuls and all Nigerians both at home and abroad on the occasion. He advised Nigerians to take responsibility against the spread of the virus and obey all COVID-19 protocols.
