The Federal Government has condemned the deadly attack on Kasuwan Daji market in Niger State, which claimed the lives of at least 30 villagers and led to the abduction of many women and children by suspected terrorists.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, described; the violence in Kasuwan Daji and neighbouring Kaima Village as tragic and deeply disturbing, noting that the victims were ordinary Nigerians from diverse religious backgrounds.
Idris said those affected by the attacks included traders, farmers, parents and schoolchildren, both Muslims and Christians, stressing that the assailants had no regard for human life or faith.
According to him, the perpetrators should not be seen as fighters for any religion but as “faithless enemies of humanity” who carry out indiscriminate killings and abductions, leaving lasting pain and trauma in their wake.
