The Federal Government has approved for the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) the sum of N8.49 billion for the purchase of 12 sophisticated items for COVID-19 testing.
The approval was made during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday August 12, 2020. The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire had earlier presented the memo for the purchase of the equipment during the FEC meeting.
The Federal Government is currently working to curb the dreaded coronavirus which has so far killed over 900 persons in the country.
