The Federal Government has dismissed as false and misleading a report published by Phoenix Browser claiming that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sacked the Ministers of Defence and Power. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the government described the report as “reckless propaganda” and urged Nigerians to disregard it entirely.
According to the statement, no such dismissals have taken place, and the last cabinet reshuffle in October 2024 did not affect either minister. Instead, the changes involved the Ministers of Women Affairs, Tourism, Education, State for Housing and Urban Development, and Youth Development, along with ten ministerial reassignments and the nomination of seven new ministers.
The government emphasized that credible media outlets and official sources should be relied upon for verified information, warning the public against the spread of fake news.
