The Federal Executive Council (FEC), has approved the sum of N47.9 trillion federal budget estimate for the 2025 fiscal year.
This was during its meeting at the State House, Abuja on Thursday.
Shortly after the meeting, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, told journalists that the budget approval was part of the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) for 2025-2027, in accordance with the Fiscal Responsibility Act 2007.
According to him, the executive wants the budget approved by the National Assembly and signed into law by the president before the end of the year.
