The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has assured that the FCT University of Science and Technology in Abaji will commence operations during the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Wike gave the assurance on Tuesday while speaking in Abaji, where he expressed appreciation to residents for backing Tinubu’s candidates in the February 21 FCT area council elections.
According to the minister, the Federal Capital Territory Administration is already putting in place the required infrastructure and other key facilities needed for the university to begin operations.
He called on residents to remain patient, noting that the institution would become a reality before the end of Tinubu’s tenure.
Wike explained that the university would not only benefit the people of Abaji but also serve residents across the FCT by creating employment opportunities and driving development in the community.
The minister added that his visit to Abaji was to appreciate residents for keeping their promise to support the President, stressing the importance of acknowledging and rewarding goodwill.
