The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the deaths of ARISE News presenter, Somtochukwu Maduagwu, and a security guard during a robbery in Katampe, Abuja.
The incident happened on Monday night, leaving residents of the area in shock. Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, said investigations are ongoing while tactical teams have been deployed to track down the suspects.
According to reports, Maduagwu was attacked on his way home, while the guard was killed after attempting to resist the robbers.
The development has renewed concerns about rising insecurity in Abuja, with residents urging security agencies to intensify efforts in protecting lives and property.
