Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has faulted former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, over his recent criticism of President Bola Tinubu on national television.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Wike said Lawal’s outburst stemmed from his frustration after failing to secure the vice-presidential slot under Tinubu during the 2023 elections.
The minister revealed that Lawal had once visited him at his Port Harcourt residence to express dissatisfaction over being sidelined, adding that his remarks against the president were not constructive but amounted to an insult to the presidency.
