Popular Activist, Deji Adeyanju has reacted to a statement by the FCT Minister – Nyesom Wike that Sen. Ireti Kingibe will not return to the Senate in 2027.
Adeyanju in a post on X said Wike cannot decide who becomes Senator as only residents of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, can decide that in 2027.
According to him, FCT is not Rivers State, where election results are written with guns.
He tweeted, “Only the people of FCT can decide who becomes Senator in 2027, not Wike. The arrogance of power is what will make Wike think he can decide for the people.
“FCT is not Rivers, where people write results and shoot guns. Even incumbent presidents get defeated in the FCT.
