Former Ekiti State Governor and prominent People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Ayo Fayose, has declared that the party is “dead,” citing ongoing internal conflicts.
Fayose made the remark on Tuesday during an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television, monitored by DAILY POST. He was responding to the political wranglings that have continued to plague the main opposition party.
The declaration follows a Federal High Court ruling in Abuja on the same day, which for the second time restrained the PDP from holding its 2025 National Convention, originally scheduled for November 15–16 in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Reacting to the court’s decision, Fayose said, “I said to you about a year ago that the PDP is in trouble, and if you don’t find a solution on time, the party will be dead—and the party is dead.”
