Jennifer Odonwodo, wife of the late Nollywood actor Junior Pope, has announced the death of her father-in-law, Ozor Luke Odonwodo.
The elder Odonwodo, a respected community figure and octogenarian, passed away months after the tragic death of his son, Junior Pope, in a boat accident.
In an emotional tribute shared on social media, Jennifer recounted a recent visit to Enugu, expressing shock and sorrow upon learning of his death from her mother-in-law. She described Ozor Luke Odonwodo as a man who “genuinely loved” her and had made significant sacrifices for his family throughout his life.
“He lived a good life, paid his dues, and happily reaped the fruits of his labour,” she wrote.
The back-to-back losses have deeply affected the family, with Jennifer asking for strength to endure the difficult period. She concluded her message with a Christian hope in the resurrection, citing Bible verses from John 5:28-29 and Acts 24:15.
Ozor Luke Odonwodo and Junior Pope Odonwodo are survived by their family, who continue to mourn their loss.
