A 47-year-old man, Eromosele Mahmud who hails from Etsako West in Edo State has been paraded by the Rivers State Police Command for impregnating his 16-year-old daughter.
Mahmud who blamed the devil for the act has been sleeping with his young daughter since 2017. According to reports, he was brought in through the State Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation.
Nnamdi Omoni who confirmed the incident to journalist yesterday, said the suspect has confessed to the crime and will be arraigned in court upon completion of police investigation.
Kayine Harry, a staff of the State Ministry of Social Welfare said the ministry was informed of the incident by “Doctors Without Borders.” She said the young girl confessed that her father has been sleeping with her and is responsible for her pregnancy.
