Innocent Ekwu, counsel to detained Rivers Federal lawmker, Hon. Farah Dagogo says his principal has spent 51 days in detention for a bailable offence.
Ekwu disclosed this in a chat with journalists on Thursday, in Port Harcourt.
According to him, Farah ought to have been granted bail on self recognition as a member of the Federal House of Representatives.
He said the state government had in an affidavit they filed at the Court of Appeal noted that they are holding his principal for political reasons.
He called on the state government to release his client to him, as he is innocent of the charges levelled against him.
