The attention of Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo, Member representing Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Rivers State Governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been drawn to Account(s) on Facebook impersonating him with brazen resolve of using his name for nefarious activities, aimed at defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.
The modus operandi is to engage would be victims on FACEBOOK MESSENGER with the lawmaker’s IMPERSONATED FACEBOOK ACCOUNT and assured them of non-existing contracts from government agencies and multinational Oil Companies after the payment of quoted amount of monies into dedicated account numbers, that runs into several thousands of naira.
These unwholesome activities are not a representation of Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo. For the avoidance of doubt, as at today 19, April 2022, Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo IS NOT OPERATING ANY SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT, FACEBOOK INCLUSIVE.
From the foregoing it is crystal clear that the FACEBOOK ACCOUNT BEARING THE NAME AND PICTURES OF “Farah Dagogo” is being operated by fraudsters, who neither have the authority, support nor mandate of Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo.
Rather than take advantage of the many benefits the Social Media has to offer, some very unscrupulous people are hell bent on using it to saturate opprobrium and deep pains. This accurately encapsulate the activities of the fraudsters using the Federal lawmaker’s name.
While we have commenced all lawful means to bring the IMPOSTOR(S) TO BOOK, please be assured that when and if HON. DOCTOR FARAH DAGOGO decides to operate any SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT, the account(s) will be properly verified and the general public will be duly informed through the ELECTRONIC, PRINT AND SOCIAL MEDIA(S).
