The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has launched Operation Go Cashless in partnership with Paystack, introducing a secure and contactless digital payment system across Nigeria’s airports.
Beginning September 29, 2025, all payments at FAAN revenue points — including airport access gates — will be fully cashless, as the agency phases out all forms of physical cash collection.
According to FAAN, the initiative marks a bold step towards modernizing airport operations, improving efficiency, and aligning the nation’s aviation sector with global digital standards.
Passengers and airport users will now enjoy faster, safer, and more transparent services, while the agency enhances revenue assurance and the overall travel experience.
To ensure a seamless transition, FAAN has deployed trained brand ambassadors at airport gates to assist users. Passengers can also obtain a Go Cashless Card at access points or online via www.gocashless.faan.gov.ng.
The rollout will commence at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, before extending to other airports nationwide.
