A suspected cultist from Ahoada East Local Government Area, identified as General VIP who was declared wanted by the Rivers State Government, has alleged that the Eze Ekpeye-Logbo Felix Otuwarikpo had contracted him to assasinate the Chairman of the LGA, Ben Eke.
VIP, who disclosed this in a chat with Journalists over the weekend said the Paramount Ruler is after him because he refused to carryout his directive.
He stated that he is now a changed person and no longer associated with crime, adding that the arms they submitted were handed over to OSPAC by the ruler to cause havoc in the town.
“Eze Otuwarikpo on several occasions has called me to assassinate the following persons: Ben Eke, Chairman Ahoada East LGA, Eze-Ndigbo Ahoada, and Mr. Vincent because he believes he might be an obstacle on him becoming the Eze Ekpeye-Logbo,” he said.
“He promised me heaven and Earth, but because none of his aims align with mine, I declined his offer. Why does he want all these people dead? He should be asked this,” he added.
The traditional ruler has in the meantime, denied the allegations, describing it as “cheap blackmail.”
He accused VIP of being behind the crises rocking the Local Government Area and its environs.
