Dynamites were reportedly detonated at the Secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party, in Port Harcourt during the party’s Councillorship Primaries, today.
The explosion which rocked the party’s Secretariat, according to reports, saw delegates, party executives and residents of the area, scamper for safety.
The dynamites were detonated by suspected bombers in an SUV car at the party’s Secretariat, an eye witness confirmed.
He said after the incident, aggrieved members of the party and some residents, started destroying and looting people’s properties.
The leadership of the party in the state, is yet to comment on the incident.
