Chief Ollor Dares Oji Ngofa: “I am In-Charge of Eleme LGA, You Can’t Use any Public School Facility Without Government Approval
The Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA has sounded a loud warning to all those who plans to scuttle the present peace experienced in the LGA to get ready to face the full wrath of the law.
The Eleme Council Boss who was responding to a statement credited to former Nigerian Ambassador to the Netherlands, Amb. Oji Ngofa which has gone viral on social media described Ngofa’s comment as inciting and one capable of causing crisis in the LGA.
He however challenged Oji Ngofa to use any of the public school facilities without government approval and see if he won’t be bitting more than he can chew. Hear him;
“The Executive Order 21 signed by the Governor did not stop political gathering or stop anybody from holding campaigns or rallies, the Order stated that when you want to have any of this, apply to the appropriate authority, the Ministry of Education for the use of any of the public schools. It further stated that this must be done within two weeks to the period you want to make use of the facility and a non refundable payment of Five million naira is also to be made which is to be used to repair any facility damaged in the course of the rally or gathering. This is not only to other political parties, it covers PDP, APC, SDP, AAC and all political parties in the state.
“Haven heard that, as an LGA, we made a press release calling on all parties and candidates in our LGA to follow the directive.
However, one of our son’s who is supposed to be known as an Ambassador of peace in Eleme LGA haven travelled far and wide and has been a council Chairman went on air to say they were not going to obey the order and that if anybody comes to stop them from holding their rallies and campaign as they will defy the order, such a person should come with his casket.
“With this statement, we feel he is fanning the embers of war, he is preparing the stage for crisis and violence in our LGA especially now that we have decided that Eleme must remain in peace and people must live and do their businesses in peace, he is trying to incite youths to create problem and oppose government directives. Because of this, we are warning everybody that is connected to him, that he may want to use to carryout this his nefarious act.
“I dare Oji Ngofa to go to any public school or facility in Eleme local government without the approval of the state government, I dare him and whoever that will go with him, if they try to contravene this directive, it means they are ready for government backlash, this is our position.
“I also advise all the security agencies to call this character for questioning, for making such flagrant and careless statement that will not hold any water.
Meanwhile, in a meeting with Security Agencies, the Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA, Chief Obarilomate Ollor mandated all security agents to ensure that the directive of the State government contained in Executive Order 21 is strictly adhered to by all political parties in the LGA.
