Prince Ogbonna, from Etche Local Government Area, was reportedly apprehended by members of the Diobu Vigilante group just days after regaining his freedom.
Ogbonna, who was released from prison on Tuesday, July 7, 2025, was caught in the early hours of the morning near Sangana Market in Diobu. He was allegedly part of a gang that targeted women bringing goods to the market.
In his defense, Ogbonna claimed he was not directly involved in the robbery, stating that it was some of his associates who carried out the act.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
