The Rivers State Police Command, has confirmed the attack on Leader of Etche Legislative arm, Hon. Cynthia Nwala.
Speaking with journalists on Tuesday, Spokesperson of the Command, Nnamdi Omoni said the Chief Security Officer of the council, has been invited.
He said an investigation has been launched and that perpetrators of the crime would be brought to book.
Omoni called on parties involved to maintain peace and allow the police do their job.
