The Executive Chairman of Etche Local Government Council, Chief Chima Boniface Njoku, has ordered the immediate suspension of two media aides, Mr Ugochuku Nwoko and Mr Robinson Oluor.
Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Dagogo Isaac in a statement said the directive, which takes effect immediately, was issued as part of efforts to enforce discipline and professionalism within the council’s information management structure.
Chief Njoku also issued a stern warning to all media aides, political aides, and other political appointees, cautioning them against making unguided statements or publishing comments concerning any political leader of the Etche Ethnic Nationality. He stressed that any appointee found violating this directive would face indefinite suspension.
The Chairman emphasised the need for responsible communication, noting that all official statements and publications must align with the council’s values and promote unity and respect within the Etche community.
