The Chairman of Etche Local Government Area, Chief (Hon.) Chima Boniface Njoku, has announced plans to construct a new Chairman’s Office Block and Chairman’s Lodge as part of efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and provide improved working conditions within the Council Secretariat.
Dagogo Isaac, media aide to the Chairman, said Njoku made the disclosure during an inspection tour of ongoing remodeling works at the Council Secretariat and other key projects, including the Staff Canteen, Shopping Complex, and the Corpers’ Lodge/Security Building.
According to him, the proposed Chairman’s Office Block will offer a more conducive and functional workspace for both the Chairman and staff, while the new lodge — featuring four self-contained bedrooms — will provide comfortable accommodation for visiting guests of the Council.
The Council Boss commended the contractors handling the various projects for maintaining quality standards and urged them to expedite work to ensure timely completion.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to infrastructural renewal, Chief Njoku reiterated his resolve to rebuild and modernize the Etche Council Secretariat to meet contemporary standards and serve as a model for other local governments.
