The Executive Chairman of Etche Local Government Area of Rivers state, Dr. Obinna Anyanwu on Wednesday, cleared medical bills of some patients of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital who had been unable to pay.
Dr. Anyanwu made the gesture at the Hospital’s Department of Paediatrics where he visited Mrs Gift Chiyere Samuel Nweke, a native of Igbo-Etche who recently gave birth to triplets.
Spokesperson of the council, Robinson Oluor in a statement said Anyanwu also provided financial medical support for the triplets who were delivered prematurely.
The benefiting patients commended Dr. Obinna Anyanwu for his love and selfless service shown to them.
